Product Warranty Policy
Our promise: If a Y’allCanDIY product has a verified manufacturing defect during the warranty period, we will make it right with an approved replacement or refund, subject to the terms below.
1. General Warranty Policy
1.1 Standard 1-Year Limited Warranty
YALLCANDIY, a subsidiary of ASTEMREY LLC, warrants to the original purchaser that Y’allCanDIY-branded products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship under normal use and conditions for a period of one (1) year from the original date of purchase. This warranty applies automatically and does not require product registration.
1.2 What This Warranty Covers
This warranty covers verified manufacturing defects that prevent a product from performing its intended function when the product has been stored, handled, and used in accordance with the product label, safety information, application instructions, and other written guidance provided by Y’allCanDIY.
- Manufacturing or material defects present in the product.
- Defective packaging, containers, seals, or valves that make the product unusable due to a manufacturing defect.
- For reusable tools included in a kit, manufacturing defects that prevent normal intended operation.
- For consumable accessories, a defect present when supplied; normal consumption or wear is not covered.
1.3 What This Warranty Does Not Cover
The warranty does not cover problems caused by circumstances outside a manufacturing defect, including:
- Improper use, misuse, abuse, neglect, or failure to follow product instructions or safety guidance.
- Improper storage, including storage outside the temperature or environmental conditions stated on the product or instructions.
- Use after the product’s printed expiration date or stated shelf life.
- Application to unsuitable, unprepared, dirty, wet, contaminated, or otherwise inappropriate surfaces or substrates.
- Application under temperature, humidity, ventilation, or other conditions outside the recommended range.
- Normal wear and tear, expected consumption of consumable components, aging, or gradual degradation from normal use.
- Damage caused by modification, alteration, unauthorized repair, puncture, impact, accident, fire, flood, severe weather, or other events outside Y’allCanDIY’s control.
- Use with chemicals, solvents, equipment, fuels, cleaners, or materials not recommended for the product.
- Differences in coverage, yield, finish, adhesion, expansion, cure time, or other application results caused by technique, environmental conditions, surface conditions, or user error.
- Cosmetic issues that do not materially affect product performance.
- Products that cannot be reasonably verified as authentic Y’allCanDIY products or that were purchased from an unauthorized seller.
1.4 Warranty Remedy — Replacement or Refund
If Y’allCanDIY approves a warranty claim, Y’allCanDIY will provide an appropriate remedy based on the circumstances of the claim and product availability. The remedy may be:
- Replacement of the affected product or defective component; or
- Refund of the purchase price paid for the affected product or defective component.
Important: A warranty claim is not automatically a refund request. Y’allCanDIY may request reasonable information needed to verify the defect before approving the claim and determining the appropriate remedy.
1.5 Who Is Covered
This limited warranty is intended for the original purchaser and is not transferable. Proof of purchase, such as an order confirmation, invoice, or receipt, may be required.
1.6 How to Submit a Warranty Claim
Contact Y’allCanDIY Customer Support at info@yallcandiy.com. To help us review the issue efficiently, please include as much of the following information as is reasonably available:
- Order number, receipt, or other proof of purchase.
- Product name and pack size.
- Clear photographs and/or video showing the issue.
- Batch or lot number, production code, and expiration date if printed on the product.
- A short description of what happened and when the issue was discovered.
- For application products, relevant storage and application details such as approximate temperature, surface type, and application method.
Please do not discard the affected product, packaging, or batch/lot information until the claim review is complete unless Y’allCanDIY instructs you otherwise.
1.7 Warranty vs. 30-Day Returns
This 1-year limited warranty addresses verified product defects. It is separate from Y’allCanDIY’s general return/refund policy. Eligible non-defect returns are handled under the return policy in effect at the time of the request. Please refer to our Refund Policy for the current return terms.
2. Spray Foam Insulation Products
2.1 Product-Specific Coverage
The Standard 1-Year Limited Warranty in Section 1 applies to Y’allCanDIY Spray Foam Insulation products and kits. In addition to the General Warranty Policy, verified manufacturing defects may include:
- Chemical formulation defects that cause the foam to fail to dispense or cure as intended when the product is within shelf life and has been stored and applied according to Y’allCanDIY instructions.
- Defective can, valve, or seal that prevents normal dispensing because of a manufacturing defect.
- A manufacturing defect in the included foam applicator gun that prevents intended operation under normal use.
2.2 Spray Foam Exclusions
In addition to the exclusions in Section 1, the following are not considered manufacturing defects:
- Foam applied after the printed expiration date or stated shelf life.
- Product that was frozen, overheated, or otherwise stored outside the recommended conditions.
- Failure to achieve expected coverage because of application thickness, technique, surface conditions, environmental conditions, or user error.
- Application to unsuitable or improperly prepared substrates.
- Blocked or damaged nozzles, straws, tips, or accessories resulting from cured material, insufficient cleaning, or normal use.
- Normal consumption of cleaner, gloves, masks, goggles, nozzles, straws, spreaders, or other consumable kit items.
2.3 Kit Components
Where a Spray Foam Insulation Kit contains reusable tools, cleaner, PPE, nozzles, straws, spreaders, or other accessories, the 1-year warranty applies only to manufacturing defects in the supplied component. It does not guarantee unlimited service life for consumable or wear items.
3. Other Y’allCanDIY Products
Unless a product page or written product-specific warranty states otherwise, Y’allCanDIY-branded products not specifically addressed in Section 2 are covered by the Standard 1-Year Limited Warranty in Section 1 for verified manufacturing defects. This includes product categories such as adhesives/glues, mold-release products, balloon-care products, and other branded items. Product-specific performance, safety, storage, and use instructions remain controlling for the individual product.
4. Limits and Customer Rights
4.1 Reasonable Claim Verification
Y’allCanDIY may request reasonable documentation, photos, video, batch information, or other details needed to verify a warranty claim. A claim may be denied when the available information indicates misuse, improper storage/application, use outside instructions, expiration, or another excluded cause rather than a manufacturing defect.
4.2 Scope of Remedy
Unless required otherwise by applicable law, this limited warranty is intended to provide a product-level remedy for an approved manufacturing-defect claim. Replacement or refund applies to the affected product or component and does not automatically include labor, installation, removal, reinstallation, third-party services, project delays, or other consequential costs.
4.3 Applicable Consumer Rights
This policy is not intended to reduce any non-waivable rights a customer may have under applicable consumer-protection law. Where applicable law provides rights or remedies that cannot be limited by this policy, those legal rights remain in effect.
